“Once upon a time…”

This is a small watercolor and ink piece with a “Johnston” italic script. It is calligraphy pen and black ink on painted watercolor paper, which measures 6x8 inches. The painted color behind it is watercolor paint that I applied in several layers until it had the hue I wanted. The gold border is a proprietary blend of paint and ink. The writing is done in black calligraphy ink.
