“L”

This is a small piece with a large capital “A” in a batarde (French) script. It is calligraphy pen and black ink on off-white art paper, which measures 3x3 inches. The painted color behind it is watercolor paint that I applied in several layers until it had the hue I wanted. I painted and inked this piece on a piece of ridged art paper. I don’t have any idea when or where I got this paper, so it’s rather a mystery.
